I was very lucky to earlier this year get the chance to work with the Adobe design team to create a new loading illustration for Adobe Illustrator. Below you will find some process images and at the bottom the final artwork.

One of my many rough sketches for the first round of ideas. Here I'm just drawing the outlines to test ideas and figure out a composition that might work.

In the next round (once a direction has been decided on) I start redrawing everything in Illustrator. Cleaning up the shapes and start adding colors. Testing and adjusting things as I go.

Finally I add the last details and redraw the last little things. Making the artwork fuller and more worked through over all.
